Applications open for $450,000 in local infrastructure grants

LISMORE MP Janelle Saffin says applications open today (Tuesday, 28 January 2025) for the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership Program, with her electorate’s funding allocation boosted from $300,000 to $450,000.

Ms Saffin says the enhanced program invests in local infrastructure projects that deliver positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes while promoting community participation, inclusion and cohesion.

“Incorporated not-for-profit community organisations and local councils will be eligible to apply for grants of between $10,000 and $100,000,” Ms Saffin says.

“For this 2025 round, grants must be for building, refurbishing or repairing community infrastructure or for buying freestanding equipment or vehicles.

“The program invariably is over-subscribed and highly competitive but previous rounds have shown how transformative grant success can be for worthwhile projects which meet community need.”

Since 2009, the Community Building Partnership Program has awarded more than $464 million to more than 20,900 projects across the state.

Program Guidelines are available now at www.nsw.gov.au/cbp.

Applications will be accepted online from Tuesday, 28 January 2025 and will close at 5pm AEDT, Friday, 21 February 2025.

Successful organisations will be announced in August 2025.
